just been spending a lot of time the last couple days listening to some of the music i grew up on and was curious what others like from that generation... im talkin early 90s rock stuff (yea i was a bamf in elementary school)... anyway heres my quick list. Stone Temple Pilots Alice In Chains--------------one of the most amazing voices i have ever heard Silverchair - frog stomp Offspring - smash Nirvana Janes Addiction Live well thats what i can think of, i know im missing some, what you guys think? please add if u can think of anymore!

I have shoes older than these bands :ugh: Todd Rundgren Metalica Yes - Asia Emerson Lake and Palmer The Who The Doors Stevie Ray Vaughn
Sugar Ray, but it had to be the lemonade and brownies album...the Floored one was ok, but after that, suck. Primus - Anything off of Seas of Cheese or Frizzle Fry. I still listen to Bad Religion, the Descendents, Pennywise and NOFX. That hasn't changed for me. Soundgarden. That was some good stuff Stone Temple Pilots was good but the 3rd album...that tales from the vatican gift shop one, that one can burn and they can use Weiland's heroin supply to start the fire. I saw the Toadies in concert, those guys rock. I'm glad they fell into obscurity though, alot of their stuff wouldn't make it on the top charts. Alice in Chains is always good stuff. Beck - either of the first two albums were pretty good stuff. Didn't dig the newer stuff though.
I didn't really like the 2 disc set. There were some notable tunes, but I wasn't impressed. I wanted another Gish/Siamese Dream type album and never got it. And the radio killed 1979 for me.
Doomsday Clock was really weak, but I still listen to it. I didntknow they play 1979 on the radio...:eek3:
Probably not anymore, but back in 1995-96 they played the hell out of that stupid song. Want to know how to be a music snob? Work in a radio station for a year. You will learn to HATE music that gets radio airplay. The only reason I liked Sugar Ray's Floored disc at all was because "Fly" was the WORST song on that disc. And I almost think that was a work of genius. Put a ****ty, cookie cutter radio song on the disc to get people to buy it, then bombard them with loud rock music. I think the only reason 14:59 came out was to make amends for pissing off all the frat boys that were expecting Floored to be 60 minutes of songs like "Fly." 14:59 sucked.
Im too young for this thread...... anyways Metallica was my 1st music love followed by (dont laugh) Marcy Playground those are the bands I dont follow at all anymore I currently love: Tool Apc Puscifer (meh its ok) Rage Whitesnake ftw primus (dmv is an awesome song, also Wynona's BBB FTW) Steven Marley (not to be confused with Bob Marley FTL!!!!!) Wow. I thought I was the only one. My musical tastes are still stuck in the 90's but since I'm a little older than a lot of you I have much love for late-80's music too. I'm going to print out a couple of posts on this thread and make a new playlist. Then I'm going to sit back and rock out with memories of my high-school and early-Army years.
Before Jello sued them for their name, they were Jello, not Jelly. And Operation Ivy, completely forgot about them. Which of course leads to Rancid.
