2 yrs ago we did a group buy on Fastline mudflaps. Since the 3rd annual duluth trip is coming up, and there is normally some gravel fun involved, i figured i would post a feeler for another fastline GB. I have yet to cntact fastline about this (their website is acting wierd). but i figured i would see what the interest level is. Fastline offers an amazing warranty on their flaps. if the break send them in, and get more. you can get up to like 4 or 8 replacement flaps. at which point they say you should be looking for another car.

These flaps are VERY durable. I have them on my car, as do a few others. they are very stiff and wear resistant. they definately help keep spray down (salt/gravel/other) and give you that rally look.

Last time we got IIRC $10 off per set of flaps which isnt much but it helps. The majority of the savings comes from the combined shipping. which will help alot. last time IIRC it came out to 102.85 shipped per set. let me know what you think. also i think we will need atleast 10ppl to get this pricing.

    Info from last GB: http://mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9050&highlight=fastline+mudflaps

I will be out of town tuesday --> sunday. I will see how the poll is going then.

EDIT: Fastline maybe out of bussiness so this could change over to a Rally armor GB.
EDIT: Emailed Rally Armor about GB possibilites.

Fastline isn't around anymore from what I've been able to gather. Might want to look at the RallyArmor ones instead.

    ^ Good call.

I just tried sending them an email to see why their site is down. If there is enough interest I can inquire at rally armor.

Just talked to a buddy who is in the plastics industry this evening about this same issue. I'm going to make some WRB match flaps so I can take my short cut home into Victoria and not FURTHER the paint chips.

Can you guys post the link to the place that you're getting them so I can price compare?

    Thanks,

    ted

I am still waiting to hear back form rally armor (emailed them today) about GB possibilites. It is looking solid here. So i will see what i can arrange, and hopefully get some prices up early next week (going out of town this week).

dont worry your mudflap needs will be filled somehow.

$125.00 seems a little stupid. It's only a couple dollars woth of plastic. I would rather make my own.

Give me a week, I'll run over to my custom plastics guy and see what is would cost to run off a 100 or so in the "not so" flexible variety. Should be pretty cheap.

Good news i just got an email back from rally armor, and they are willing to accomadate a GB. I have asked for some pricing info.

What kind of flaps are you interested in buying? Urethane? Classic? GC? GD? Wagons?

got an email back. heres the scoop.

"We would be able to provide a 6% discount to UR flap purchases (minimum buy in is 10 flaps – any mixture of flap applications) and a 4% discount on the Classic mud flaps. Keep in mind that Classic style flaps are currently the only GC/GF chassis flaps available. For GD, we would recommend the URs for your club members as your winters can get pretty cold and that “flex factor” for lowered vehicles is an added bonus; just a recommendation."

What do you think of this price break?

^indded, but having it all shipped to one place would help save somre more $$ too, since these things are kinda heavy. last time we didnt get a price break at fastline and we saved prolly 10-15 ea set by combinign shipping.

Cool, flaps for the chux wagon.

I want to get some feed back on this price break. Is this enough of a break or shall I try to find another source of flaps?

Yeah, I got called into work from thur @ 5pm - Sun @ 8pm straight, I haven't had a chance to get a hold of the guy. A while back we had some truck flaps cut out of eurethane (sp) and the turned out great for ~$50 If i remember corrctly. If it's a bigger group i'm sure they'd get cheaper.

I'll try and find time this week.
