Anyone know a good shop that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for some minor fender rolling? As long as my rear camber stays put I don't get any rubbing, but if it slips a bit I get a little rear rubbing, which helps to shred the sidewall of my tires. OUCH!

with the way the weather has been I bet you could do it without the heat gun but I sure wouldn't like to try. I thought I saw someone with a fender roller at the last dyno day we had but I may be mistaken.

last time a spoke with josh(mcjt) he was going to be getting a roller. I'm suspecting this is the person you are speaking about.

if it only rubs a bit, a bat or large pipe can do the trick. but be careful, as it can crack your paint. just find something to pry against, either way up in the strut tower and pull out, or against your tire, and push in, and make sure to move it around so you don't get a lump....

we did it on martin's car a couple weeks ago after his new suspension, and it did the trick!

we also noticed that the inside of the fender lip (the part that would hit the sidewall) has a nice, round, soft rubber lip to it. it won't eat your tires, and it will help you avoid cracking the paint should you decide to roll them.

On the rear of the STi there is a rather sharp edge that can rub if my rear bolts come loose. Since I'm running KW V3s with camber adjustment at the knuckle it can eat through the top sidewall.

I'd love to give the roller a try. Is there a rental fee? Worst case scenario I'm thinking dremel, then sand down the sharp edges and then touch with some clear coat, but I'd rather not.

if your going to set up a day for pl to use it, count me in. as chux said the pipe does work. but we either didnt try hard enough or do it enough. i am still rubbing a little bit in certin circumstances. also the pipe rolling did not end up even, and it kinda bugs me. also must be careful of paint crackage, my paint cracked in a spot.

I would definitely be in if it fits my schedule...I have been putting off doing the RS. I am going to 245s next season, so I need to do the rear.
