Thursday coming back from Ikea on 494 I had this RED car come up behind me... looked like a porsche front end only longer... then I heard what sounded like a truck wit air brakes... nope it was this red car gassing it up besides me... it must have sucked about 3000 cubic feet of air by the sound it made... then as it went past I thought maybe a Bugatti?? but as it went by and he gave me a nod (which I thought was cool - seeign as I smiled and nodded first) he proceeded to mail it and it sounded liek an atom bomb exploding... man it was frickin sexy... well thats when I saw the badge.. FERARRI... but I have been searching onlline and have not found one that looks like it... I was doing 80 on 494 following him and he was pulling away.. crazy dude...
nope... nothing liek the typical ferrari shape.. but it was red.. sounded like a v10 or v12.... dual pipe out the back in teh middle of car... more longer and rounder look like the jaguar e-type or something... frotn end like a porsche only longer and had more lines down the hood... http://www.ferrariworld.com/FWorld/fw/events/F599/index.jsp I think this may have been it.. though I could have sworn the tailpipes were out the middle....
well, 430's i think in the challange trim get center pipes. older 456 gta's maybe too, those are the only distinctive porsche looking noses that i can think of... and the 430's are ****ing loud. i can see how someone would thing it was a v12.
those 430s are HAWT. i had one behind me leaving berelys one day. hehe guys wife had to hold the grocerys in her lap. neway that this looked MEAN!!!!! wish my car had 1/2 the hp that thing does.
the 430 is an amazing car to ride around in. If any of you see a red 430 cruising around the lake or western suburbs its prolly my buddies dad, shorter foreign looking guy with little to no hair. He originally traded in his SL55 AMG for the 360, but then after a month traded the 360 in for the 430. The guy is an absolute speed nut. He just got a brand new carrera 4S all done up and supercharged.
the front was defintiely like the 599 pic... no hole in hood or on side behind doors.. it was super long like a viper... and like I said.. sounded like a jet plane sucking air when he hit the gas then when he went by sounding like a semi trailer braking downhill...... a HUGE FRIGGIN GROWL.... he turned off of 494 at Bobby and Steves exit.. so he probably lives around that area so whomever on here does keep your eyes peeled
NOPE... nothing like it... ike I said 3 times now.. more like the shape of the 599 - maybe 575??? but it was also convertible so that makes it a little harder in shape without the roof?!?!?! I dotn know I am sure someone will see it sooner or later

more than likely it was a 575 i've seen 2 different red one rollin around wayzata alone... better chance it was one of those
sorry to burst your bubbles but a red f40 cruised by firestone last year. mMMm...ferrari twin turbo v8......so ferraris of those class are possible.

Me and se7enrex have both seen a ferrari locally that is VERY different. Its red and may be the exact car you are talking about. We looked it up and its a very rare model, hopefully will finds this thread as hes the one that found out what it is. I believe its a high compression v8, and the interior is amazing. One of the options for the interior is authentic marble.
Yeah, there's a red 430 that roams around EP once and awhile. I seen it as recent as last week on Pioneer Trail.
I saw my dream car on the way to nathan's shop today. (coming from wayzata, (the only place besides edina you will find one of these roaming). 2005 gunmetal Aston Martin Vanquish S :yumyum: He roared past me with all 6.0 liters of v12 goodness. He even had the black and red interior I want...::sigh:: :roll:
Waaaagon? http://ferrari.bg2.org/img/456_GT_Kombi.jpg The only Ferrari I've found so far that has center exhaust is F40's, though I'm sure I'm missing something and those certainly don't look like a 911 from the front. I did actually see an F50 on the road once in Beaver Creek, CO. I saw an F40 on the freeway in Vegas once, too.
My other thought is an rx7 with a 911 front end conversion. Can be confusing the first time you see them, as they have the long wheel base. The rear end looks somewhat ferrari with a big set of tires too I guess. The twin turbo/twin rotary motors could also be confused with the big, high pitched v10's and v12s of the ferraris if the guy had the right exhaust setup on the rx7.

^^minnetrista is turning into the same kinda deal. My boss lives down the street from Jimmy Jams old house in Hardscrabble, and before he moved he would rip outta the neighborhood in a huge assortment of cars. He even had a vintage RR we saw every once in a long while.
woah! what a bump. I have to cruise through wayzata more often now that there is a Vanquish rollin down there. i really wanna see/hear one in person. just an interestin tidbit. I heard that last summer they were selling 1 ferrari a week (on average) through the mtka mazda/maserati dealership.
I know exactly what it is. It's a Panoz Esperante. And yes, it's Ferrari red and it's got Ferrari badges. I don't know why. The guy who owns it has the gold, and makes the rules - as they say.
