So my car is back together. Just took it for a spin and it's deathly slow. It's a 02 wrx. Slower than my 92 legacy, and that doesn't have a lw flywheel. Now this I can imagine is from the CEL, and that can be addressed after I get it scanned. Second issue is that the car is now slightly lowered on skunk2 springs and struts from a 04. The rear ass looks a little too sagged for my liking so I'll be making spacers tomorrow night after work, and having it checked for suspension issues and aligned on Wednesday. My question is this...

Will I need camber bolts for the rear?

Perhaps a little insite for us that do not know the cars history onto what was all done would be nice.

Just worry about align. I can have codes read. Need to know if I need the camber bolts.
02wrx with 04wrx suspension and skunk2springs. Will have spacers on top in back but that shouldn't change anything.

First question would be: Did you get it aligned after you initially lowered it?

However, I wouldn't think you'd need them. From my experience, you only have to start worring about camber bolts in the rear if you are swapping in Forester struts with a spacer (3-4" lift) or completely laying the car on the ground. I did the Fozzy strut swap to my '00 OBS and I still didn't install camber bolts in the rears, although I do have a slightly positive camber in the rear. If you are "slightly" lowered and are adding a spacer to raise the rear a bit more, you should be fine.

In summary, if you've lowered your car and have not gotten an alignment yet, you need one.

No. Not yet, if I had, from your info it probably would have worked out.

    Okay thanks.

I hate to sound mean, but duh...

I know the '04-'07 struts are slightly different in the rear than the '02-'03, but I'm not sure if that would cause the issue you're looking at.

Regarding your question about the camber bolts, are you asking if you'll need them because of the spacers? Or just in general?

No, you do not need camber bolts in the rear. Only in the front and the stock camber bolts should be in the top hole.

As for the codes, I was running one for the knock, one for the crank, and one for tgvs, but all stayed gone after erase. One tgv wire wasnt plugged in. Winning! I bought cam bolts for the rear just in case and they aligned this am. Anyone have good spec ratios? For all the dimensions?

What are you asking for, the stock alignment specs or modified alignment specs?
