Melvin and I did...super loud! It was actually pretty scary, because we were watching "Inside 9/11" on the History Channel, and they were showing the planes crashing into the WTC. :eek4:

I saw a buttload of T-34's and one P-38 (!!) go over my house in St. Paul all in formation on Saturday. They must've been leaving St. Paul downtown airport.

yea, location would be sweet. I see F-16s flying around all the time here in Duluth.....but we have an Air Guard base here.

and yes, the Duluth airshow looks like it's going to be sweeet!!!! the Blue Angels are extremely impressive, I've seen them perform a few times.

You'd be surprised at the amount of noise complaints we get.

The Blue Angels were in Duluth a few years ago. They would buzz campus at about 1500 ft. That was awesome.

Also, there are F-16's buzzing around all the time. If you are near the airport when they take off, you cannot hear anything else.

I think F-16's are the loudest fighter I've heard. Not as loud as being 100 yards from the Concorde at full throttle+AB at Oshkosh, though.

Ya that big single Pratt & Whitney is not subtle. You only hear it when it goes past you though.

The F18s were up and hitting afterburner over camp lejeune all day today.

That and it seemed like every super stallion on base was practicing landing in hot LZ's today. They kept dropping in right over us, pretty loud when you're trying to work with mine detectors. lolz

I miss all the cobras flying over and doing live fires like we had at pendleton, but then again, when you're trying to sleep in the field, you learn to HATE those lucky officers up there buzzing around in the dark.

PS, I used to think ospreys were the coolest thing ever, and freaked out when I saw one. I have now seen and heard enough of those things to make me sick. I swear they fly around every day just to see if they can get them to start falling apart again.
