After 7 months of sitting in the garage on jackstands it emerges. I burnt a valve back in June and haven't had the time nor the funds to work on it. The car has 150,000 miles on it and it didn't make any sense to me to replace just the heads on the car. So I found a low mileage shortblock and a set of low mileage heads and put it back together. I upgraded a few things along the way as well. Just a few glory shots
The wheels are BSA Racing. They're fairly light (17lbs). They were originally on my 94 Chevy Beretta but that car is mostly used on the strip. So I figured I'd use them on the Subaru.
Specs right now, lol, yard ornament. 2.3 DOHC Quad 4/5 Speed. Block: Fully balanced, Forged Wiseco 8.2:1 pistons, Eagle H Beam rods. Head: stock head with a 3 angle valve job, will be using stock cams. T3/TO4E 57 trim turbo (hopefully pushing 20-25lbs), E85. 3" mandrel bent side exhaust. Spec stage 3 unsprung clutch/ Fidanza 8lbs flywheel. There's more but the engine isn't built yet (sitting in my basement). I'm waiting for space to open up in my uncles shop so I can get it in and work on it. Hopefully it will be finished by mid June.
