Hey guys, I'm currently looking to get a FMIC for my 05 wrx. Curious on what brands you guys would recommend.

I've heard good things about TurboXS and AMR Performance

What mods do you have installed on the car now? The reason I'm asking is because a FMIC might be total overkill.

SPT short ram intake, Invidia N1 Turboback exhaust, Bullwinkle Tune. I just love the looks of a FMIC.

You will need another tune. If you just like the looks just get a cheap one on eBay and install it but keep your Tmic lol.

I was looking on Ebay, there are some for $300, should I stay away from those? GodSpeed was the brand of one.
I've accepted the fact of a tune, not sure how spendy those are, and where I should go. Either Map, NF, or RS.

NF. I read on nasioc that the cheap 300$ Godspeed fmic will end up costing nearly 1000$ because of all the work that goes into mounting everything.

If you mainly like the looks of a fmic, i would just buy a mesh grill insert and spend the rest on a used STi tmic. If your minds set on a fmic, I'd spend the $ and get a well known brand name, your tuner will thank you

A front mount on a stock WRX is kinda pointless. (in my opinion of course). Unless you are planning on upgrading the supporting parts, turbo, injectors, etc.. its pointless

I was wrong it wasn't nasioc, and it wasn't a 1000$ but here's the link to what I read. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2-5-lit...cs-full-review-godspeed-fmic-intercooler.html
I'm sure you could get it done for a lot cheaper than that guy did.

I have a ERZ. Fitment is okay. The bar mount is off from the intercooler itself so you will have to widen the mounting holes. It does the job. I went front mount first thinking I will eventually go bigger turbo. In the end, I stayed a stage 2.

And what car doesn't look cool with a front mount. Especially on a wagon. :)

I have a Turbo XS FMIC that came off of my car after an accident. Cooler is good. Pipes are good. Needs a new bumper beam/bracket. I'd let it all go for 100 bucks. If you fab a new bracket it should go right in

I will have to take some. I have not actively been trying to sell it. I just remembered I had it when I was cleaning the garage.

If it's in good shape, I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands. I'll PM you.

That's a hell of a deal up above, but wanted to let you know that IIR is selling FMS FMIC kits for $625 right now. I just picked one up.

Turbo XS core is worth more than that.
