First off im not sure if this is the right section for this thread (mods move me if im not in the right place).
So here is my question. A friend of mine is looking to get a legacy and he is wondering what years do the cars come turbo? What kind of turbo does it have? Are there any major problems they have? As far as power options what does it have (goal for power my be 300 hp range)? Any other info about the Subaru legacy will be greatly appreciated.

    still a noob about Subaru's
    thanks,
    Solomon

can you just swap the sti turbo? or would you need the usual fuel pump, sti intercooler, and bigger injectors and of course a tune?

Not quite what you asked for, but:

    http://cars101.com/

For Subaru info on models, trims, options, etc. Not mods, but oem. From now (and released future model info) back to the venerable 360 of 1969.

I believe the head and the block is the same as the sti (and injectors too)
but does have a catted uppipe.
It will need a dbw sti/wrx intake manifold in order to toss on the sti intercooler (and turbo).

BTW, this is for the 2005-2006 lgt
    Not updated with 2007+ yet.

Any '05 and up Legacy GT will be capable of that easily. Anything older than that is going be very expensive to make 300whp

you could probably get pretty close to 300 on a 05+ legacy stage 2 with a very good tune on a dynojet.
