    Forge BOV

I saw an add for a BOV in Import Tuner from Forge, that says it has the noise of a BOV without messing up the sensors, so no running rich or lean, whatever it does. It was part recirculating and part by-pass valve I think. Any one ever hear of such a thing? Or better yet does any one have one.
I looked on the Forge website and did not find anything.

It's called a hybrid BOV/BPV. Regardless of what they are saying, it will throw your stock maps off if you don't tune your car properly. The stock BPV is good for appx. 20psi, so just stay with that. Unless you want the RFL "pssh" noise.

Then try to stick with a hybrid valve of some kind. Are you planning on tuning the ECU afterwards?

If you don't NEED a new bov I would stick with the stocker...just my .02. My APS makes noise but it gets annoying after a while I hate it.

    1. Take money planning on spending on a BOV
    2. Buy APS Intake CAI (NOT POD)
    3. Hear Stock BPV.

I got a great deal on an APS intake, which yielded me slightly better spool and lower intake temps, and has the side affect of making the stock BPV audible under heavy load.

    blitz nur spec.

and the forge BPV will NOT mess your car up. Its pretty much mechanically identical to the stock one and recirculates. The onyl way you could scew it up is to put the red 25+ psi spring in there on a stockish car, and then thats your fault, not theirs.

the BOV is another matter. The BPV will not make any more noise than the stock one other than a sharp pining noise when it lets off due to the billet piston slapping the casing.

I want it to be heard outside of the car, I know the intake silencer delete will make it a little louder, but only in the car as well as the CAI.

    Someone had to say it...

If you want the sound, go for it. Just understand that your Subaru doesn't like it because it is expecting that air to come back to the intake. When it doesn't, your Subaru will get all confused. It will probably not be able to sort out what's happening and probably start by running rich or throwing up CEL's... After that it will start getting upset about tiny little things like the fact that you leave your socks on the floor and complain to its mother who always hated you anyway. The next thing you know it's throwing pans at your head and keeping the neighbors upstairs awake all night with its constant NAGGING! GOD!!!

Won't mess up your tune at all.

And best of all, it actually is a forged BOV...
