Is anyone using a free to air satellite receiver for TV? I'm thinking of picking one up but don't know any one with first hand experience.

I have talked to a couple of customers that are using it, and they love it.

What a throw-back, lol. I used to be into the satellite scene a decade ago, when DirectTV hacking was the big thing. I'll link this to my buddy who still messes with satellite stuff and see if he's got any info for you or experience with it.

My in-laws use a Viewsat Xtreme 2000, and they get all kinds of channels, but frequently have to download an updated "key."

I'd definitely look into getting one with a built in DVR.

I LOL'd before I realized these weren't tied together. It would appear al gazeera sports does not allow overtime in women's stoning matches. Acid Attacks might have sudden death? Hmm...

I have one, but have been unable to get a signal on it... The LNB appears to be working. Everyone I talk to claims it is due to the trees in my yard, but the Dish Network dishes both work fine and they are even obscured. Will pick it up again in the spring, the wife wants her Thai TV.
