ok, so i picked up a little sanyo fridge from my work for free, almost brand new. It was working fine up until a girl at work decided to defrost it, she unplugged it for three days, then went to go plug it back in and it never got cold. They ordered a new one and i decided to take it home. Anyone have any advice or know anything about these mini fridges for repair? lmk
Just gave it a good look over, and it looks like there is a puncture in the frezzer part of it, where the freon(sp?) would flow thru. So this has been run like this for a while, has all the gas escaped? do i need to get it recharged? or do fridges produce the cooling agents on there own? I am going to seal the small puncture with some jb weld, its a tiny hole so i am hoping this will work.
which reminds me, I punctured one of the line and sh!tload of gas was spraying out, lol...landlord was not happy.
He purchased a new one for me I'm just taking a shot here but, I believe it's repairable, maybe a new line and then recharged, kinda like a car *shrugs* You should call up some appliance repair shop and see what they'll say.
thats what i will do. I can just replace the line, as the puncture is in the freezer portion and runs thru the actual metal freezer shelf.
