Sorry for the cell phone pics, but this is one massive truck that is delivering some gigantic piece of equipment to the plant across the street.

Weird, the actual piece of equipment in the middle under the cover doesn't even look that big. Maybe it was just super heavy. Like a giant chunk of lead or something.

What type of plant is it?

Yeah, that's what I thought. It must be extremely heavy. They are an extrusion plant.

I think of it in the terms of, driving next to it - not so scary, you can get away from it if you wish to.

Driving it, you have to worry about what everyone else is doing and how long your wheelbase is. is the front loaded with mirrors to see back that far? I bet this truck gets some sort of escort while on the highway. I would not want to take turns onto small streets with it though. Or make a turn while someone's a little too close on either side. Then again, if you hit that thing, you're obviously not entitled to drive, i mean .. it's friggin huge like you said.

It appears the back can be streered. Otherwise there is no way that thing could get around, lol.

Yeah, there are two dudes in the back, one about 20' behind the driver, one all the way back. So there are three steering points. Crazy.

How can they drive something like that, but other semi's can only pull 2 trailers, while here in ND they can pull 3?

Six or eight wheel steering. Baddass.

I bet that thing could get all kinds of messed up if one pair of wheels got off-kilter at speed.

If that was a solid piece of iron, i could see that trailer as being reasonable. There is no way that trailer is only 51 feet long.

What does the company extrude? Metal, plastic, or composites?
