Hey guys I sold my 05 Evo VIII about a week ago to pay my college tuition (UMD) and had some money left over so I picked up an 04 WRX last night. This forum looks like an awesome place and I can't wait to become a part of it!:)

Nick, I have no idea who you were talking to in your other post. lol

But seriously, I'm sure you'll like the wrx, 04/05 are a good choice too, less issues than the bugeye but not the heavier pricetag that comes along with the 2.5 blocks.

^^I 3rd this...I'm sorry to be annoying, I was trying to get my 25 posts so I could see/post in the for sale/wanted section of the forum (looking to buy a PSM STI spoiler and a PSM front bumper). I realize now that you need to be a member for a month in order to do this.

And the 25 posts and 30 days is just to create a new for sale thread. You can see and respond to threads already posted and you can create your own WTB thread.

    Also, welcome to the forums.

    Holy spamz, Batman.

I think I know who you are (did you have an srt-4 before the Evo?)

Also, glad to see you found the Duluth thread

Haha yup, I think I remember you too! I had a red srt-4 that your friend looked at and test drove. He was convinced it had a blown head gasket a day or so after driving it for some odd reason but I ended up selling it shortly after to my brother anyways!

    Thanks for the welcome!

I was never convinced the head gasket was bad...

When you find a butter knife under the hood of the car it does not inspire a lot of confidence. A couple of days later I bought my first Legacy down in the cities..

Oh, sorry bud I didn't know it was because of the butter knife (which can be useful for many things under the hood). I know you mentioned the head gasket through text though. Happy to hear you found a nice car though!

I prefer a nice butter knife when scraping a gasket off, it won't damage the metal your scraping and it's a long flat surface. Hey to each their own though.

I'm a 1G guy myself but in defense of 2G DSMs, there are some quick 7 bolt 4g63s out there that don't crankwalk. Sorry to hear you sold your evo though.

now that you say that i remember those wheels although the car I'm thinking of didn't have fog lights (not that you couldn't of added them)

I'm not sure if he was a member here, the fogs came with the car though. The fogs will be going soon though since the front bumper on the car has a good size crack on it and I found a decent deal on an STI bumper (as long as everything works out)!

Wasn't yours an auto though? This is a manual, the wheels are some ADR 17's which I don't like. They will probably be up for sale soon!
