I have for sale one 4 speed automatic transmission from a V3 WRX wagon. This transmission originally belonged to 95lwrx and I acquired it after I toasted my stock 4EAT at the ice race. I dont know how many miles were on it before I got it, but I put about 15,000 miles on it.

The transmission shifts fine, and works well. The one issue I have come across is that it has a slight leak. It will leak to about half way between the full and low area on the dipstick but no farther. Also under very hard acceleration it makes a whining sound, that although unnerving doesnt seem to entail any problems.

Details: 4.11 FD. Comes with a TQ Converter, and extra tranny pan.. I will find the tranny code number and post it up. 95lwrx still has the TCU, which you may or may not need. Pick up only, its way to heavy for me to lift into the trunk of my car.

Yes, $25. I already have a PM on it. So you two are next in line if that falls through. Keep in mind that you need to pick up the box, I will not deliver. It is located out by St. Boni. I will help you load it, but there may still be some ATF left in it.

I think the tranny code on it is TZ102YB3AA-G4.

Ok, well the guy in the PM passed on it. He wanted it to go to someone in more need (seems to be a tradition with this tranny). Anyway who ever is in more need of the replacement box drop me a pm.

I will be in town this weekend, for possible pick ups.

I see no reason that it wouldnt work, unless you car has a different final drive; in which case you would need to put in a matching 4.11 rear differential.

i'm not sure it would work for your car, the TCU may not know what to do.

I'm not 100% on that, but i think newer cars like yours are heavily reliant on it. russ would know for sure.

I think Ryan (95lwrx) still has the TCU for this transmission. The only issue I ever had with it that may have been TCU related is that it would sometimes downshift right to redline in the gear below. Nothing wrong with it it just annoying.

Nickole, if i get some downtime after my econ class i can look into the tranny situation.. could be something as simple as a difference in sensor signals

Thanks Chris. If this will work on my car then I still want it! If you find somebody to buy it before I know if it will work then I'll live. My feelings wont be hurt! ;)

well, looking at my collection of FSMs. the old TCU will definitely not plug into the bugeye.

also the plug at the tranny is definitely different. it's possible that some clever re-wiring could make it work, but it would be quite a bit of work......which might be worth it for a sweet built tranny......but not this one.

Rexaru.....I'm curious why you want this tranny so badly. it's really not all that different from the USDM one except slightly different gear ratios (designed for a higher redline).

I just want to make sure everyone's clear on this, this isn't some sweet jdm upgrade or anything. it's a high-mileage trans that will work in place of a blown one.

I want this gone. I do not want to have to deal with taking it apart to recycle it or rebuilding it later.

$25 picked up, or $50 delivered to firestone (I hate the smell of ATF in my car...)
