Not sure. Bought it off subaruparts.com. All it says is, "Helps protecect the exterior of your impreza". It felt sturdy enough, I'm sure some suby guru would know.

Hey I dont know your experience with Kartboy exhaust hangers, but good luck gettin the muffler ones on....... i almost killed myself getting them off without cutting em.
Hey, you guys do custom exhaust work eh? I have my stock exhaust in a couple pieces, when i first got the car i was stupid and cut the muffler off and slapped a cannon on there, well i want the stock muffler welded back up and the cannon off..... how much would that run me?
if it is straight forward probably like $30.... cash... yeah I built about 3 members exhaust on here and my own from teh Turbo-back...
Prolly just have to cut off the old muffler and slap the other one back on. Once I get the car running ill give u a pm to set sumtin up.
I have a whole exhaust set up off of my 03 wrx. If you want the exhaust part of it, so that you dont have to do any more cutting and welding, im sure we can agree on a price. Its been sittin in my garage now for almost about a year and a couple of month gathering dust.
Well the thing is.... I've spent more money than Ive wanted to just puting the car back to stock. Id have to look at home to see if I just need the axel back, but I wouldnt want to spend more than $20-$30. Im not tryin to lowball u im just saying thats wut i would want. Especially with all of the good deals I gave everyone with my performance parts, I've lost alot of money, lesson learned.
So, did that exhaust fit perfectly on your car? Had some fitment issues on mine. Luckily Nathan knows how to work with hard pipe. Caught him trying to lube it up a few times haha..
LOL, yeah it fit just fine, the only problem I had was a small leak between the DP and the catback because of a bad gasket.
Yeah, the DP hung down low. Didn't match up to the mount and when we matched it up to the exhaust there was a nice gap. But, Nathan used his exhaust skills and made it work for me. Had some cutting and welding to do. But in the end it all works and he didn't charge me for any of the extra work which is cool(I think he just likes to work with hard cylinder shaped objects).
There was a gap????? Really.... Well I'm glad he got it to work for you, the DP fit up perfectly with the brackets for me. How do you like the sound?
Yeah. The passenger side met up perfectly. But towards the drivers side it angled apart like so \/ . So there was no way a gasket could have sealed it or anything. The sound is great though. Those dual 3" tips take some getting used to. They are F'n big! Alot bigger than I thought. Looks good though. Haha, my dad said "if you wanted to sound like a truck, why didn't you buy one"? Haha, I replied "cause its faster"!
Hahah, I love suby exhaust, couple weeks ago when my car was still modded I went to my grandma's house to cut her lawn and she asked if I drove a motorcycle here, then she saw my car and asked if it was me. I laughed, shes so old.
yes about 1/2 an inch... as big as Dizmals hard pipe could not figure it out after having it on and off 3 times to check if I had screwed somethng up but the DP hung down about an inch lower to the ground than it should and we would have had to reef the crap out of teh CBE to make it fit leaving at least a 1/2 inch gap at teh top of the flanges...
Oh wow, I'm sorry you guys had to go through that. But I promise there wasn't a fitment problem on my car, witch is odd because they are the same car basically. Who knows, at least you know your sh1t and got it done for him, thanks.
Haha wow do I know how that goes, nothing has ever gone right. But I got my car running last night and that went perfect, so I was very happy, I just need to go pick up headlights right now and 2 exhaust hangers.
yeah I figured it was just soemthing weird.. cause pretty much there was NO way it could have worked like that on your car...so I dont know.. who knows.. fixed now.. ha ha
