Before I start re-upholstering the stock door cards, I thought I'd see if anyone is interested in a swap. For trade is my stock interior from a 2007 STI. This includes: door cards front seats rear seats (only year between 04-07 that comes with pass-through) Pretty much brand new. No stains or rips. 9 months and ~9k miles on them. Front door cards do have sound deadening on them around the speaker/tweeter areas and around the pocket. Can be easily removed if you're worried about the extra pound... Looking to trade for 05-2007 wrx/2.5rs/2.5i interior plus cash. Open to reasonable offers. Front seats are in the car, so pics on request.
wait, i have a pass through rear seat in my '06... where are your mirror controls, on the door right?
wrx's got the pass-through. STi's only got a pass-through in 07. The mirror controls are on the center console for 02-04. They moved to the door switches when the interior changed in 05. I prefer an 05 interior because the door cards and rear seats are all black, but an 06-07 2-tone silver and black would do. Also, Lee brings up a good point, I don't want a smelly and sticky interior... so that rules out you and Chet.
Thanks Sheen good thing I read all the post, I usually skip over your non-sense. I understand now about the 04 thing.
his leather smells... apparently of chocolate and cherries... and yes, I will likely re-upholster what I trade for, but figured someone might want the STi interior.
 If I don't find anything and figure out an easy enough fix that I can live with for the mirror controls, I'll let you know. I do like the 04/05 interior.
Are the sti seats the same as the 06 wrx seats as far as bolstering goes? If they are the same no trade but I'd be game if they hold you in a bit better.
Not sure. From what I remember driving my car back to back with an 06-07 wrx, the sti seats seem stiffer and maybe have more wing bolstering... come try them out. The leg bolstering is what's lacking for me. Sucks trying to brace yrself with yr knees. Don't know about rallyx classing, but to be honest, if yr just trying to stay in place, a 3-point harness would be a much cheaper option.
the 06 WRX has the same seat backs but the bottoms are different. The bolstering on the STi is stiffer but the seat is wider and the bolstering isn't as aggressive. The 05-07 WRX seat bottoms tend to be preferred by smaller people over the wider "american rear end" STi seat bottom.
I thought to myself " I should be all over this.... but, I remember what those sti seat were like..." somehow the wrx tr seats work realy quite well at keeping you keister planted.
What about that dude that has your old car? He hasn't even been able to work on it much, but I know he has it at home now. I wouldn't mind at least comparing. My hot rod is back on the road, so WRX is coming off the back burner.
^I'll send you a pm. btw, I'm willing to part out. Really just looking for door cards but getting rid of the seats as soon as I free up some money for new ones.
