wondering if anyone can help me with this.. first off my STI has not been driven for 2-3 months. I decided to start it up today and noticed the gas light was on. I drove it to the gas station and put 4 gallons in it. The gas light is still on and the gauge has not moved. Any suggestions on why this would happen??

Did you replace the fuel pump before not driving it? My only guess is the float thingy being bent. sorry, that's all I've got.

Here's a question. Was it almost entirely empty before you put it away? I only ask this because the light comes on when there is about 4 gallons left in the tank. Maybe a little less than that. If the tank was nearly bone dry when you fired it up for the first time, and you let it idle to warm up, then drove it to the gas station, it may have been throttling you around on fumes. If that is the case, you may not have put enough fuel in to turn the light off. You said you put 4 gallons in.

Have you tried putting in more gas?

my 04 sti does the same thing, light comes on and I fill it up. Gauge stays on empty until I shut it off and wait a few minuites and start it again.
