Gauge Cluter acting goofy

    Lately, my gauges have been getting dimmer for a couple seconds at a time while the tripodometer says "lLL.5", like it would when adjusting the dimmer, but I am not. Seems to happen pretty randomly, but I haven't seen it happen before I re-installed my amp. Could that have something to do with it? '04 STi

    similar problem. but 96' brighton coupe. with leds in the gauge cluster. will flicker occasionally and sometimes one will just turn off. alternator maybe? mine is makin a lil noise. do they dim when ur speakers or subs hit?

    I don't beleive they do...it will happen even with the music on quiet

    oic idk then maybe alternator? i think thats my problem. or bad ground somewhere?

    i still question my ground on my intake manifold... cause that came loose after reinstalling it and i lost all power... i tighted it back up but hasnt been the same since

    Also, make sure the ground on your battery is securely fastened - obvious, but often overlooked.

    My cluster did something similar to this when the oem battery craped out on me this spring. The trip meter was acting weird, numbers were partially visiable. Then it died.
