well, basically things really started to go south rapidly today... weather sucked balls, then bolts were serious issues, parts i needed and was supposed to have were unavalible... to much went wrong at once for me, i had been down that road before and i really just dont want to deal with the stress at all right now. honestly, alot of you have seen the car, ridden in it, ect... you know how much i love the car and some of you know what kind of bill i have been racking up on this stupid build. it basically breaks down like this for me, i am moving to mankato wednesday and i wont have time to do this anymore and to keep doing it the right way. i guess i dont know what to put on it for a price, this what i have into it... 6,000+ for the car 250 for the midwing 150 for the wheels and traded my old ones 275 i think it was for the bumper, ask Erik 100 for paint materials on the bumper 50 for the lights 200 for the corbeau forza 2 seat 600 for the coilovers 100 for the 6 disc deck 75 for new plug wires 50 for new plugs 135 for a new distributer 220 for a new Mass Air Flow Sensor 75 for the RS SOHC intake 400 for the short block 75 for the head gaskets i think 100 for the TD04L 50 for the Nardi 100 for the HKS 250 for the Front Mount Intercooler Kit 200 for the Helix 650cc Injectors 150 into brakes 200 into fluids 200 for the rear RS swap those are what i can think of off the top of my head, and i have more that i got for free or in trades. mind you those are what I paid for the things, most of which i got dang good deals on. i dont even want to start a list for the SVX... as you can see now, thats why this is getting hard for me, as i officially have 492 dollars to my name.
oh, and add in another 300 in new hardware... 200 for Greddy Eman 130 oil pump 75 for the water pump 5 for the water pump gasket... i really, really dont want to think of what else i have bought... its REALLY depressing.
chris, I thought you were going to be one of the fast OBS around. Its hard riding SOLO dude. haha. I was in your position when I was doing my swap also; I almost gave up. Its soo easy to give up but I stuck to it. I keep telling my self "Only the strong survives" LOL. But I hope you are happy with your decision. Oh i know man, i trucked thru on a few occasions with the SVX, and with how the past two weeks have been going emotionally and financially i just cant do it. couple that factor with moving in 3 days and its not feasible in my opinion. so tomorrow the car goes back to near stock form... then i guess see who would want to pick up a project car where i left it off...
damn, sounds like a sick setup. sounds like a lot of stress for sure. i'd say stick with it. the finished product is gonna be insane... don't let a few bumps slow you down. maybe we can help you get this done
i know i should keep with it, and believe me, i want to. but moving wednesday and not having a spare moment until december for it just cant justify doing it anymore. i guess if i was to sell it all outright i would hope to get maybe 6ish for it all... open to offers, i will probably sell this and buy a 2.0 golf or something till i can start a new project and do it all over again. motor will be up for grabs whenever someone wants to buy it. its build and basically ready to go, if you have a SOHC car its ideal caus its basically drop in and will use the stock ECU w/ piggy back or AIC... or you can go full standalone. i guess i dont know what to tag the motor with for a price, it has all new hardware and its all fresh, but i know i wont get my money back either... i guess... the complete longblock ready to go i would hope to get something maybe like 700 for but best offer would get it.

would anyone locally have intrest in the car? i have had a surprisingly large amount of intrest in the motor and some of the parts
