I am excited, Just setup an appointment with ron to get a new tune for my car. I need more powerz. Anyone can think of anything I may need to due or bring prior? My plugs only have about 5k on so they should be good. I am bringing a GM boost solenoid also. Do I need anything else?

    My setup is

    FP18g
    3in exhaust
    Turboxs fmic
    turboxs intake
    walboro
    sti Pinks

Just looking to get more power, My current tune is set to 14psi and so looking to go up to about 17-20 depending on if my injectors can handle it.

Is the tuner/shop installing the GMBCS for you? If you're doing it yourself, make sure you have all the hardware to install (appropriate size vaccum tubing, crimpers, shrinkwrap/tape, etc).

Other then that, make sure you come with some local gas.

If you're really aggressive, you could pressure test your intake system to ensure you have no leaks, and check thoroughly for exhaust leaks.

Aren't those injectors quite small for that snail?

They are kinda small, but they work. LOL. People back in the day used to run them all the time. The IDC's are going to be kinda high but they should work. My car used to be tuned at 19psi with the same injectors.

Yeah my buddy has a boost leak tester and I was going to do that as well. As long as I am not leaking out of the up pipe or downpipe for exhaust leaks I should be good right?? whats the best way to do the exhaust leak testing?

Easiest way is some soapy water on the flanges or just listening/feeling for leaks.

And yeah, any leaks back of the DP aren't going to affect your tune much.

Well, then he'd have to change his oil and do a little more work. A thorough visual/audio inspection is often enough.

Change the oil? I guess I hadn't heard to do that if your going for an air leak or at least Dave didn't mention that as a side affect.

Well, it's probably not as big of a deal if you dont put it in the gas tank and the crankcase, but the stuff turns even new oil black quick.

Alright so I made a home made boost leak tester. I have a clean bill, no boost leaks. Next I will check for exhaust leaks around the up pipe and downpipe.

I do have a smoke leak/tester that works really good for finding exhaust leaks if needed.
