Hey All, I'm getting dynoed on Friday..Cross your fingersxxxx I'm hoping to get 280whp with my Turbo setup. 300whp might be pushing it.. I'll post the results. WISH ME LUCK!
VF34, STi injectors, Unorthodox Pulley Kit, CAI, Perrin TMIC, Walboro fuel pump, Ecutek tuned 18.5 psi, Helix Catless down &up-pipes, Invidia G20 exhaust, Spec Stage 3 clutch, ACT Streetlite Flywheel, Greddy BOV, Grounding kit, Cooltek Oil Cooler.... Koyo Racing Radiator & GT-Spec Header (not installed yet) Probably be installed after the dyno
Which Dyno(brand)? Don't be disappointed if you hit 240 on the heartbreaker(Mustang). They say that you can multiply by 1.15 to get your readings on a DynoJet and that'll make you feel better.
as an fyi. i was cobb stage 2 and was at 200whp on a heartbreaker jason has vf34, cobb protuned, front mount and a million other things and hit 271, and 250 something on the second day steveo had a deadbolt p&p 16g and hit 250 these were all on the heartbreaker my guess for you is 245
Where are you getting dyno'd at? If its at RS and you have a good Ecutek tune ill guess around 255 whp.
You wont hit either 280 or 300. Maybe on race gas with a good tune. But on pump, you'll be looking at 250's. The VF34 is not a 300 HP turbo.
Hey guys...Just got back from RS motors...259.9 awhp 6500rpm...248.7 Tq. @ 4000rpm. I need to retune my ecutek, because dyno-comp did a boost safe mode on my reflash. When it goes up to full boost to fast it would drop back down 2-3 psi. That is what Ron @ RS was saying. But at 4000prm and up I'm fine...it is between 2k rpm to 4 rpm that the boost would be moving around to much. Also my A/R is rich...10.5 should be around 11- 11.5. Once I get it reflash and put the GT headers in, it should and another 10-15whp. So hopefully I can hit that 275-280 mark. If it was a Dynojet it would be close to 290awhp...haha I will take a pic of the dyno sheet later today and post it... Thanks all for your input and interest
The other thing you need to remeber is what did Ron put the weight of your car as? That will have ALOT to do with the hp readings. Russ
strange, parker hit 292whp with pretty much the same setup. The VF 34 would have cranked out 300whp on a mustang with prolly more tuning and a pound or two more of boost.
That was what I was hoping for...on a Dynojet it would be closer to 300 or at 300awhp. Mustang will be less as noted from Ron.
here is the lists of weights http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4748 I know that Matt weighed his STI with a full tank of gas and him in it, and it was 3440 (same as my auto wrx and me). Russ
That was before I got it the car...But Ron from RS says that it would make a difference...awww..wells. I don't want to rock any boats. Just keep quiet and do my dyno...LOL
It is all about tuning the car right...Hate to say it, but I think parker who hit 292whp should go do it again..That seems high on a Mustang with VF34, I'm think 285 tops...
Well, if the sti's with 20g's are only hitting 300awhp on pump, there is no way in the world a 2.0L and ALOT smaller turbo is going to crank out the same power. Now if you really push the vf34 (20+psi) with some race gas, you might get to that point, but it will never happen on pump. Russ
ignorant people i guarntee parker could hit 300+whp with 18-19 psi, pump gas..VF34 292whp at what was it parker? 17.5 psi? also done on STi pinks...
