you're gonna need more than that to turbo your RS. you have a very high chance of going boom with just that setup.

btw, you posted in the wrong section

yeah, definaltely take alook at my setup. you will need to run a different fueling system and an enigne management unit for sure. going from NA -> turbo is a long and involved process.

you should go over to RS25.com and read up in their turbo/spercharger forum. lotsa good info there, also check out rallitekforums.com (if it works) its a very slow board but has alot of good and knowledgeable RS-T owners on it.

Can't help you with parts, but if you need a tow in the future from a blown engine, give me a call

    Good luck

I have an STi motor that needs to be bored over and new pistons if you are interested. It would be cheaper than a new STi block in the long run.

just to give you an idea...here's a setup that i'm planning to put together. i dont have many name brands yet but that shouldn't matter.

    -perfect power smt6 engine management
-perrin fuel rails with STi injectors
-jdm td04(if i get it) or usdm td04
    -WRX intercooler
-custom up pipe or martin's if he parts out kit
    -J&S safe guard
-turbo xs 4in down pipe or any cheap bell mouth downpipe
-custom straight pipe, no exhaust no nothing with magnaflow tip =D
-some kind of wideband o2 for air fuel ratio
-guages here and there for air fuel ratio and boost and etcc...
-a turbo timer, dunno if the recirculating cool down works or not with a custom turbokit
-electronic boost controller or manual(not sure if it's needed yet but it's listed)
-some kind of EGT sensor to monitor that as well
-a BOV, maybe blitz super sound
-exedy street organic clutch with light weight flywheel
    - walboro 255 fuel pump

and other stuff i can't remember....i'm planning to push 10psi with a good tune but i'll start at 7psi and work my way up. If i blow the motor, oh wells..i have a spare =D...there's also a very high chance of blowing the tranny as well..and if i do that...oh wells..i still have the one from my silver RS...=D. make sure you know what you're doing because alot of RS-T ends up with a blown motor. plan and research carefully first before attempting a turbo. the RS has very advance timing and with high compression....yah that's trouble...

    fun

I converted my ts last summer and did it for cheap but my labor was way longer just in pipe fabrication (stock bumper front mount cooler) nightmare.
tuning is still not done but at least with the hydra i'm fairly protected

There are some people on this very forum who had turbocharged RSs, not swaps. I think they'd tell you that it's going to be a LOT of work and you should be ready to spend a LOT of money to get a build that's reliable.

Honestly I think the days of turbocharging the RS are gone. It's cool if you're doing it to an old RS for the body style but personally I wouldn't bother on one that you can get with a turbocharged plant (WRX). Plus the turbocharged plants are built to withstand more without extensive internal work. However it's great to see for the sleeper value or to appreciate the effort that has gone into the build.

^ to use the wrx/sti upipe you would need to swap out the x-member with that of a legacy turbo or WRX. other wise you need to have a custom one made.
