im in the market for some springs to lower MY04 WRX. i was wondering...which kind of springs would you guys recommend? on my other cars...ive had teins, eibachs, h&r. didnt see much difference in ride quality between the three. just ground clearance. im just getting springs for the spring/summer time. and adjustable shocks will come later. so what do you guys think? help me decide. thanks

A lot of springs out there that are available aren't the best at spring rates. I've heard plenty of owners complain with running springs like H&R which run around 200lb/in.....

Something with the rates equal or close to equal is a good setup. Anywhere between 200-250lb/in is good for street. Anything more and it'll start to be stiff, so it really depends what you want. I wouldn't complain if I know what I'm getting myself into.

I've got the Tein H-techs and have been good and happy with 'em. They're not a whole lot stiffer than stock plus they look much better.

I've got the Prodrive springs on stock shocks. Ride quality is the same as stock, but the car corners much better.

I'll throw in another vote for the Prodrives. I've had them on my car (w/ stock struts) for about 18 months and I love 'em. Definitely a big improvement in both looks and handling.
