Peanut was our crazy little 7 month old Puggle puppy. She caused lots of turmoil in our household and ate more than one cell phone but she was loved like a member of our family. She was hit by a car Sunday and we had to make a terrible decision for her. I hope it was for the best but it sure hurts to do the right thing. Rest in peace Peanut you will always be loved.:emo:

I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I also would have no idea what to do without my canine friend.... No matter how bad your day is, they are always happy to see you when you get home.... Rest in peace Peanut.

You no doubt did exactly what Peanut deserved for her few months as a loyal family friend!

    RIP Peanut

I'm sorry for what must be tremendous sadness.

I only hope the person who did this stopped to help your dog and not just dash off like so many unresponsible drivers do.

I hope you find some peace in knowing you did the right thing for your animal.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I had to put my lil guy down earlier this summer, and just today I was mowing my lawn and I started to reminisce about how my dog would chase the mower. I really feel your pain!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's amazing how quickly they get into your heart and how much it can hurt. At least we aren't coming home to an empty house. We still have our Boxer Lab mix Boomer. You can tell he misses her as well. Again, my wife and I thank you for the kind words.

I lost my childhood pug when I was 14, she was older than me and all my memories of my youth have her in them. I'm sorry for your loss.

sorry to hear...it gets easier though. Our dog was hit and killed by a car just over a year ago, so I know what you're going through. Person who hit ours took off, but I know he had a red jeep. Anytime I see a red jeep in my neighborhood I start to wonder.
