well...its wasn't that hard of a swap to do..what the main problem was just the flywheel bolts..they were the most frustration...thanks to fuji, shoua, lee and everyone else there to help. what i did was took off the ej25 intake manifold and unplug all the engine wire harness (same for the ej18) switched the wiring harness around, bolt the ej25 manifold back on with the ej18wiring harness put my ej18 throttle on the ej25 manifold, same goes for the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, etc.. drop the motor back in...redid all the millions of vacumms on the ej25..and add oil, coolant, stuff like that and then started it...sounds good...didn't run it though...it was late...but tomorrow morning will be test day...get ready for the power and ready for the clean up in my garage... if anyone wants to know more about the swap...let me know...or fuji...or lee...or fuji's cousin, shoua.. thanks for all the help guys...wouldn't be able to do it myself.. wagonL (with a 2.5L)
I wish it was that easy for all Scooby motors. Good job! I hope to see it in person soon. I can bet that Fuji already asked for a race.
yea..he is fast for a 2.2L N/A...but remember there is a new wagon in town now..that is 2.5 N/A..and a lot lighter too...but..no he didn't ask for a challenge...i did...well..let me fix up my wagon up on the tranny, clutch, flywheel, and suspensions too...and we'll see which of the twin wagons will be the faster one... wagonL
thanks to you too lee...well now i think i know what was wrong with the car...why it died a few times...well...the intake wasn't bolt on tight...it was just sitting there...and i guess when i floored it, it was sucking air from through the maf...but dont know...try again....and see what happens wagonL
