I am looking for a program with the ability to change the formatting of a picture and select objects from pics, outline things ect. I really have no idea whats out there I downloaded Corel Draw and its ok but I still need to read the manual cuz I am kind of a techno moron but I know some of you out there are good with technology so any help or ideas are appreciated
I'm not quite sure if you're talking about raster or vector art. For raster (bitmaps), Adobe Photoshop is the top of the line pretty much. You can get a free program called Gimp that isn't too bad, http://www.gimp.org/ For vector art, Adobe Illustrator is good. There's a free program called Inkscape that I've tried that is decent. http://www.inkscape.org/download/?lang=en
I prefer Adobe CS for photo editing and Adobe Illustrater for design. They can be fairly expensive....unless you can bootleg them.
you need Photoshop and Illustrator. They're very expensive unless you pirate them. You can probably pirate cs2 but cs3 is a lot harder. I got CS3 Design Premium for the educational price and it was still $600. Its $1800 of you're not a student, thus the rampant piracy. Good luck making it look good unless you've had a lot of hours using it under your belt though. If you're a self described techno moron none of these programs will be easy to use.
Microsoft Paint is great for outlining objects in pictures. It should be under your Accessories folder in Windows. Photoshop is difficult to use unless you can have somebody show you a few things.
