Im thinking of getting the greddy e01 boost controller/engine management and an ecu reflash through fisnu but i was just wondering do i really need to reflash the ecu if im getting the engine management or is a plus to do that and how much boost can i be safe with, with those mods and the stock turbo with minor things i have doen to it such as catback,UP,soon to come DP blow off valve and intake. Any info on this would be helpful thanx
I think you need to take a step back and do some research on what you are doing. A greddy boost controller is NOT engine management AT ALL. Your next step should be getting a downpipe. I would skip the BOV as it is just a sound mod and can handle more boost than your stock turbo will make. An intake isn't really necessary until you start dabbling in larger turbos. I have posted a "first mods" post which should still be stickied in this forum. A good first mods route for power would be the Uppipe/Downpipe/catback/Engine Management route. You cannot go wrong there. Save your cash on the intake and bov and boost controller and get an AccessPort and a Downpipe instead. That will put you at Cobb's Stage2. Alot of people are quite happy with that level of tune. And if you decide to go further than that, your AccessPort is a good building block for engine management and has the capability of being professionally tuned. If you read my stickied post, you will find out why putting a boost controller on an otherwise stock car is dangerous.

why isnt the e01 e-manage i read all about it and it sounds like e-manage to me but correct me of im wrong
