Since the last one was from last year I'll start a fresh one Rules - "We pick a certain car and track from the arcade mode (no garage cars) and leave them totally stock except for taking off stability/traction control. The tires will be up to you. The car and track will be played until Friday night at 7 pm . At this time, the winner of that week will pick a new car and track. (this is so if there is a winner that frequents firestone, you guys can discuss the new stuff there). You must post a picture like mine showing the hp, weight and the car on that track. This will make sure no one cheats and lowers the weight and ups the hp. Is this cool with everyone?" Below is the first car and track with my best time so far. Special Stage Route 5 99 Subaru Impreza WRC Time = 126.285
God Damn it!!! Does anyone have a ps2 laying around with gt4 I can buy or borrow or something? Mine broke a while ago and I need to rock out. Or you guys could all buy RBR from amazon and we could have a rally comp. Now that would be interesting  Or should I say a dominant asss kicking by myself... what? yeah that's right, I will kick anyones ass in RBR
no RBR. kelly is too good at that game. I will dig out my ps2 so when i am working on teh topsecret project on friday people can gt4 it up. you should be there kelly.
^There are still endurance races yes and, I believe there are 2 24 hour races. The only thing that sucks is there is no real time lighting. Hopefully GT5 will have that worked out. *crossing fingers*
Why not RBR? Unfortunately on friday my gf is having a going away party that I have to be at. Sorry dude. :emo:
Thanks! I don't lift for 4 corners and I am also running two different tire compounds. Loose is fast! Well if no one is going to try and beat my time I guess I will ... new time 1'25.797
1'25.780 RSS F&R. Not sure what else to put in this post, used to the GT mode and dropping suspension specs here.
yeah, but it worked as a practice run... so now i can make you look like a fool once i have time again. lol
slow is smooth, smooth is fast. told that to Courtney and showed her a few little tips on the game yestarday, then with the Spec C she was beating me. its all about the line and how you drive the car, key is its a rally car... weight transfer to get it to rotate around is WAY different than it is on a street set up car. you have much to learn young grass hopper
So not the racing softs? I was using racing super soft up front and soft in the rear, I would also brake late and pretty much drift many of the corners. It's harder to make consistent lap times cause the car is so unpredictable.
i didnt like it with the racing softs, the car seemed to have way too much play in the suspension to make them effective tires, i dunno, i have always used used street tires on the rally cars
I'm gonna try those tires. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow after shopping, yeah I'm going early bird shopping. Family Guy season 2 for $14.99, I mean come on.
my bad, i just went with the regular tires, i didnt change them. i guess i wasnt really paying attention... i just didnt use the SS
1'25.238 ...still not seeing this extra second, every time I go smooth and keep the extra weight in the back in mind its a 1'26 or worse.... a vid of the 1'24 would be nice, to see what I'm doin' wrong. Still on super softs, reg. softs seem to add a second, regardless of what I do to driving style.
Just tried to change up the gearing and it didn't really help. Umm yeah I do wanna see this 1'24 pass.
maybe tomorrow, i just got home and am about to pass out cold. we shall see what i can do in the morning, i might have to travel to annadale tomorrow tho so who knows
Just took a whack at it today with jeff (fishbiker15) took 78 laps between the two of us. but here we go. 1'24.009. there is still room for improvement (1'23.5 is probably a doable "perfect" lap). stupid nub messes me up everytime. when is the new car/track chosen?
I'm gonna take a look at the selection in a bit here, I agree my laps very so much at that track that I think if I was perfect in ever part I could get low 1'24's.
that RUF is too quite. can hear it at all, which makes it difficult. also the suspension is pretty stiff and the brakes are non existent compared to the '99 WRC car. top lap is 1'25.632 right now.
