I've got a better question, why does it matter to you if they need them or want them?

I only have one, but I look at them like tattoos, you cant ONLY have one, and like tattoos I'll be getting more, much/many more.

Most of them are Glocks. So my guess is that it is the same reason you keep extra AA batteries around.

They may be ugly, but they are reliable. Boringly, stinkingly reliable.

Here's my entry. I picked it up a few weeks ago, the day I got my permit to purchase. CZ 75D Compact. I put 100 rounds through it and it's great. I put a set of night sights on it this weekend and ordered 4 more mags. And I'm taking a Carry Permit class next Saturday and already have 2 holsters ordered. It shoots a lot better than I do, so if you haven't shot a CZ, I'd recommend it!

That's what I've heard. I now need to acquire much ammo. My girlfriend's brother works at Federal, so I got a little bit from him, and a few boxes from Bill's.

I believe they are made in the Phillipines. The cheap models are a little rough but the higher models are pretty decent.

From the reviews that I have read, they make a perfectly acceptable entry level 1911. While I don't own one, I've read from more than one source that it's a lot of gun for the money.

I'd buy one for sure, it would be fun to get a GI clone.

I bought a Taurus PT1911. It came in a bit higher in price than RIA, but still below most 'standard' 1911s. I'm happy with it, it shoots great, seems stout, and has an ambi safety, skeleton trigger and beavertail handguard from the factory.

It is made in the phillipines, talked with the seller and after searching, they used the exact same lathes as colt but could not put their (colt's) name on it. It is a solid gun. While I have not shot it yet. I am very impressed with how solid it feels and the action and trigger on it. I will know more once I shoot it though. There are some differences but most I have seen are good ones. I bought the 9mm version as I have an absolute SH$T ton of 9mm and I am not about to buy another caliber ammo, escpecially at these prices. For $470, I think it was well worth it.

OK so the can turned out to be a lot of fun:

I was shooting at a golf ball at 500 yards with that string but only hit dirt around it, not bad considering the wind I was having to read. It was also a little distracting the way the guy next to me was losing control of his rifle each time he fired.

    new boomstick. 18.5" 870

I was at Streichers for something completely unrelated and ended up buying a gun also. $140 out the door, for that price I couldn't pass it up. previously used by the DOC, so im assuming it got loaded, unloaded and racked a lot.

I'm looking for my next Rifle and would appreciate some feedback please. Looking for precision, reliability, affordability and fun. Currently looking at some DPMS every since I put a few rounds at the Gun Fair. I'm open to different calibers, I currently own a 308 Savage Axis. Many thanks!

^^^^Semi auto? My DPMS has been reliable, cheap and fun but it's a 20" A1 (iron sights only) so really only as precise as me lol.

They had one (wood stock) it was a bit tight but I've got it feeling much better now. Kinda liking the old wood look, not sure I even want to change it now. also picked up an XDs 9mm last night. Someday I'll add pics to the other thread.

Just picked this guy up. Looking to add a laser sight, torch, and reflex optics to it. Anything more than that is too much, though.

Yeah, any more than that and you'll have a hard time finding a holster for it.

Your new carry gun, I'm guessing?

Lol, no. While I love me some Glock action, I do not have any handguns that I would post up online. I do have a new toy that I'll put up on here in the next week or two, though :)
