I was driving through past downtown on 35w when it hit. People were stopping under the bridges, not even pulling over to the shoulder. Personally, I'd rather get hail damage than rear-ended, but that's just me. I got hit with a lot of hail, but I haven't really inspected to see if there's any dents. I've got a $1k deductible too, so I won't even bother reporting on my old car.

It must have missed St. Paul because I was doing my laundry there. My car is shiny in Blaine.

I agree with what you say. There are definately worse things to get pissed about. I'm not typically anal about dents and dings but this looks really bad.

Is paintless dent removal a cost effective option? My guess is the hood is a throw away.

in Cottage Grove we had pea size hail and heavy rain, I was outside at work when it started to rain, so we put all of the go karts away and we were leaning on the door which is steel and lightning struck about 100ft. away from us and we all got shocked by the lightning.

Wow, I just missed it. I left work at 5pm and headed north... I saw it coming from the west, it looked pretty intense.

5 min after i pull out of the lot we get golfball sized hail.

    true golfball size...
4 cars and the shop van got hammered............

i'm lucky, i have been driving the boss's truck.
i'm sure he will have had me killed if anything happens to it.

So I must have missed the bigger hail on my drive home. I can't really see any damage to my car. Having a steel hood makes a difference too I'm sure.

It was pretty strong for a while there, I was sitting on Hiawatha on the bridge that goes over lake street, the rain was coming sideways hard enough to be leaking past my driver's side windows, that usually only happens in the car wash.

Thanks for the responses guys. I called Ryan Novak at Finishing Touch and he is going to come by today or tommorrow and do an estimate for paintless dent repair. I plan on having that done to all the panels except the hood (which I will replace) Anyone have a WRB hood lying around?

Yes, Ryan Novak is the guy that did the group buy. I used to work with his brother.
