Why weren't you at work where your car's under the awning? My car's safely tucked in to the garage.

    not at work, day off
the hood is complete garbage, the rest of the panels are pretty screwed up too.... aluminum didn't really hold up to golfball sized hail.

That sucks. I had gotten home from work an hour earlier and fell asleep only to be awoken to hail hitting the metal roof. Good thing my car was in the garage. Do you have any pics?

Yea, there was nothing I could do, to get it in the garage would have required me moving my moms car, moving a ladder and other **** out of the way and then driving my car in the garage..... by that time it would have had damage anyways.

No, it wont. I worked at a body shop for over 4 years insurance is gonna want to paintless dent repair most of it, and the guys who do that up here aren't very good. The hood is for sure shot... no chance of repair, the rest is pretty bad too =( I don't think there is a straight panel on my car anymore, and I had maybe 3 small dents on the entire car beforehand.

Well, the state farm mobile catastrophe team looked at it today and their estimate for PDR was well over 2k... and they lowballed it and almost sounded like they wanted me to take the money and not get it fixed. Brought it to the body shop I worked at and they said the estimate was atleast 25% lower than the cost of fixing it. These people seemed like they were off the streets of texas with no experience writing an estimate on my car and giving me a check. I'm not worried, it will be fixed properly and the insurance company will get a nice suppliment for the rest of the money. The entire thing seemed fishy though.

when that happened to mone they sent it out to get PDR, about an hour later I saw it drive back past my shop... ha ha ha PDR said YEAH RIGHT!!!!

they ended up removing the roof and replacing it, and painting all the panels except front and rear bumpers...

yep insurance adjusters... ha ah ah

It's in the shop today... PDR should be done tomorrow and as I thought they tried to fix the hood but its more cost effective to replace it, so that should be here Thursday.
