haha...i gave up on the gloves... Too bulky to grab the wrap inbetween the pipes. I had goggles on too, but those came off. Same with my clothes. I think it was like $50 or something at MAperformance.

Finnegans!!! Yes!!! Thank you for supporting the beer company that I volunteer for!! FYI, Finnegan's is the worlds only non-profit beer company. You just donated money to at-risk youth while drinking. :cheers2:

Maybee it's just my leather like skin...but I didn't have a problem with irritation...but yes, I soaked it first too.
2-2"x50ft rolls did all my exhaust (from the manifold x-over, up and back all the way to the muffler) except the cast (oem) manifolds (how would you wrap them:roll:) which I had ported and coated...obviously, going with a header would require more material.

looks good. There are two different kinds of wrap there is the fiberglass based wrap and the copper based wrap. The copper kind doesnt itch, the fiberglass itches but not too bad. You wet the wrap first, so that when it dries it tightens and really sticks. I have done it both ways and didnt really see a difference between wet and dry, just make sure it is very tight, and after it gets really hot a couple times it will stick on its own.

ahhh that makes sense. I got it as tight as i could. Should i spray it down with water now that its already wrapped?

When I wrapped my stock exhaust manifold, I spent some time cutting off the silly mounting points for the heat shields. When it comes to wrapping, its like having an easy button.

Nah, dont worry about it. I would just leave it if its already wrapped. You might want to hit it with some (very) high temp paint to help keep salt of there in the winter. Although salt will probably find its way in anyway.
