Ok, Drivin home tonight. On a side street around the U of M, close to Como Ave. Pressed the gas a little bit, but not a crap ton. Something in my engine popped. But it didnt sound like an explosion. Sounded more like an air hose came free cause there was a sucking sound afterwards and the engine sputtered out and died within 100 yards. Too dark to really see anything. When i started it again, there was a sound like it was trying to suck air in, but wasnt getting any, sputtered out again, and died. When i turn the key a lil bit, i have full power to the AC, lights and what-not. Anyone have any ideas? Im going to need a tow ASAP tomorrow morning as that i pushed it into a parking lot that says visitor parking only. Please hit me up on here. Thanks, Dan

Sounds like a major vacuum leak. I would check all of the intake plumbing first. If you can hear the sucking then it has to be a big leak (ie big hose). It will be easier to see in the light. If you are having problems finding the leak spray some carb cleaner on the hoses, when the engine idles higher (if you can get it to idle) thats where your leak is.
Sounds like the "Y" pipe came off of the end of the turbo, or the IC connector to the throttle body came off. When I blew the y pipe off, it sounded like something exploded under the hood, and a 22psi air leak would do that. Russ
this... I had that happen too. even the throttle body coupler. BIG POP, then no power and the car did not want to run
i dont think its a vacuum leak here, vacuum shouldnt create outwards pressure like that. my guess would probably be something on the charge pipe which some of the guys already gave suggestions on where it could be. check em. what has me a bit thrown off is it wont start back up. why not?
If you blow off any of the charge pipes, there's going to be a HUGE vacuum leak. The car won't run because the engine is sucking in a ton of air and the MAF is thinking there isn't any air being injested into the engine -- screwing up the AFRs and making them so lean that the car won't idle or start.

Cost to fix my car this morning when a nice older black man drove me to my car - $20 and 2 beers. All in all, just some tubing came loose and popped off hence straight air being sucked in. But I had no light lastnight and couldnt see it.

I used some spray adhesive on all the joints since ebay fmic piping = garbage and the pipes have no lip
Oh, it's that car. I think I installed that intercooler piping. They didn't even send the right pipes with the eBay intercooler, we had to have Flabiola cut and reweld them to fit. Any girl who tells you to **** off becuase your car breaks down can **** off.
