I might be purchasing another subie within a month or so if my vans deal go through. I've been debating between two vehilces. both are wagons and both is far.

this one is in HI, I posted it up before. He took it off the market then relisting it again. its a 04 wrx wagon with a complete 04 STI doner. everything swaped over except the rear seats. Tien flex suspension, $22k I pay for shipping. shipping is $980 from HI to the bay area. 22k miles

This one is in New York. all stock. its from a dealership. $23k. 6500miles

    Um. Kong. Are you serious?

Dude, you totally have to go with the Forester so everyone can make fun of you for getting the lesbo-wagon AND for not getting the STI wagon.

The vehicle is actaully for the wife. so i say. the commander has agreed to eigther car. the problem now is that she and i like everything in working condition. STI wagon has a few issues. but can be fixed. just want to know how hard is it to fix.

I say get the Forester just because it'll have more room in the back for luggage. The C-pillars are more upright than the WRX.

The white wagon looks and sounds a litte more interesting.. it may have issues but with an older vehicle, you may end up with more issues..

I would be concerned that no one has purchased that WRX. There's no way I would buy a car and ship it over without seeing it first in person. I'm sure you could get a turbo Forester for that price in Cali too. What does your wife want?

eigther one. is fine. but we're leaning more towards the forester. its an 05 with the premium package at $22k. cant beat the price. wouldn't have to pay for shipping and for the extra $980. you could upgrade a vf30 and sti ecu and be just as fast. with money still left over.

Yeah, the wise choice is most likely the Forester.

the cruise unit is just a vaccum actuator. it reads the speedo, and then uses a vaccum pump to adjust throttle to keep you there. so it might not be pluged in or a vaccum line could have come off (most likely from teh swap)

02 sensors are easy to replace. just get the right size wrench on out it comes. plug in new one an torque it in.

I never really liked the red color in the FXTs, but if you're gonna get it for your wife (which I hope you're telling the truth), she'll like the accomodations the Forester provides... since it is marketed to soccer moms and all. :? I'm sure if you wait a bit, you can find a Forester XT locally.

But if the purchase really is for you, get the darn Sti wagon. You'll get a lot of your friends (Hint-hint: Herc and Theo) freiken jealous!

its all about safe and reliablity. both has it. i've been waiting for the forester sti for a long time now. this sti wagon is the closet thing to a wagon sti.
