looking for someone to install a clutch and timing belt. i ammore than willing to help and learn. i just don, thave the tools or the knowlege. i cant pay reg. shop rates but i would pay a fair price. looking for a shopping list of parts needed. the subaru is a 2002 wrx all stock. i am open to clutch options.
you are going to want to replace the flywheel too. they are not machinable. you can wreck the new clutch if you dont. when you get a t belt get a gates one from rock auto
False, they are machinable. Check with headworks in Bloomington. Had mine done there. (As well as several others from the forums.)
Napa down the street. They have a really good machine to properly cut the flywheel. O'Reilly claimed they can do flywheel with their rotor machine. That's the last I trusted anything the dude said. You can't cut a flywheel on a brake lathe.
You can turn a flywheel on a brake lathe. I've seen it done at least a dozen times. Doesn't mean its optimal, but on a stock 2.2 Leg or most non turbo subies , it works fine.
Agreed, We had ours just turned on our NA 2.2L last week...turned out great. ~$50 at Proven Force in Osseo.
Thanks all who are giving advice. I think I have found the parts cheapest on Amazon. after the new year I will be hooking up with Nuke to do the installation. Thanks again. Always seekin advice and knowledge.
