soo i just ordered a fpgreen/ 2.4 inlet /34mm flapper/iwg/8cm exhaust.i also got a 255 walbro coming with it. my question is.. i want to stick with a tmic, i dont want to hack up my car for a fmic

what top mount should i go with?
    also what injectors?
    inlet?
    big maf?

if someone could maybe tell me what else i need to make my setup done, along with im getting it tuned when clark comes.

also what kind of power can i look forward to with this setup? thanks guys !!!

I would get the cobb ap. talk to Russ about drilling out your stock injectors or you can spend the $$ for perrin 800cc or whatever they are. as far as intercoolers go, a top mount will work but if you do that I would also do a meth kit or a ic chiller system. perrin, aps ect. are big so would do one of those. Personally I would do a front mount. It’s not that hard and people would help you with it on this site if it’s too much for you. I think dream has a big maf for sale and would do that. would think of doing a turbo-xs d-tec for a boost controller. other than that you should be able to get by. Would port your tgvs and maybe do fuel rails while the manifold is off.

the thing with fmic is, is i dont want to hack up my bumper, might sound like im anal about my car, but i just cant start cutting my car apart for an intercooler... if they made an intercooler with NO cutting id buy it. but even the aps one you have to cut some of the bumper. if i got a bigger tmic, and a tune, i just drive the car from work to home with the occasional spirited driving, i also want the car to be reliable if i need to drive somewhere... if this makes any sence, thanks guys!!

    What kind of vehicle?

A friend got a massive TMIC for his '02 rex and couldn't stand the heat soak. Might not be so bad with a water/meth sprayer. Bugeyes don't get the best airflow through the scoop over about 80mph. APS FMIC's usually come with a different bumper beam to clear the IC, AFAIK.

when installing a fmic, do you have to hack anything up other than trim the bumper? i was thinking of a stealth black aps one

I big tmic will work out. I don't have any problems with my tmic, and as for the heat soak thing, I call bs. The only time my tmic starts to heat up is in stop and go traffic and once you are over 25-35 you have more than enough air going through the scoop to cool things down.

You will definitly need a big maf of some sorts and you will definitly need a inlet pipe. Injectors I would probably just get the stockers modded and get a new pump. That should get ya going.

Oh ya, you will probably want to pick up a gm bcs or something to help control the larger turbo.

I'm going with a Spearco tmic. Has yet to be installed though so I can't comment on heat soak. Like you, I like the idea of no bumper mods. I also don't like the blatant advertisement of most fmics. I'm not looking for the fastest ride in town, so if I lose a few HP I really don't care. Maybe I'll change my tune after experiencing heat soak, but there are a lot of content tmic owners out there. Personally I like your choices for mods. The reduction in overall piping with a tmic must be good for something as well, maybe a slightly faster spool. Good luck with it.

GM Boost Solinoid will work and its cheap. I run the DTEC and love it, but its spendy.

I take it you have the Perrin Big Maf?

A bigger radiator might be a good thing to get as well. I just picked up a Koyo for $300 on Ebay.

Problems getting them tuned?? I havent heard that. I really think you should sell the typhoon and get the big maf. I think your gonna need it.

Alot of company's sell inlets, APS makes a nice one. Perrin and Samco both make decent inlets.

Dont know much about the Perrin bcs, sorry.

You want atleast a 70mm maf housing. The stock 65mm housing you will max out. A 20g will max out the stock maf, and you are bigger than that. Also, the big maf has been out for a couple of years, if you can't find someone to tune it, find a new tuner. As for a bcs, go with the gm. Same thing as the perrin or prodrive, and you can get them for $40 with the pigtail.

I got one at the dealer (shakopee chev) for $26 and change. They wanted $28 for the plug, so I went to the junkyard.

how is the GM BCS noisy? Does it emit a BOV type sound? I'm sorry if I sound like a Noob, but I am used to NASIOC. I just don't know how a BCS could make noise, except if it were leaking.
