    did you check your starter?

signal flow, follow every step your car makes to start and check each piece. and if nothign is wrong there then your car just doesnt liek you.

well me, gc8 and imprezawrx9 was chillin under this bridge. cop came, everyone left, i drove off, got pulled over. told me to get out, handed her my keys, told me to walk towards my friend (cuz she kicked him out and made him walk half a block). told me to walk away and dont look back. she didnt give me a ticket and there was no tow truck even tho she said itll be towed. she drove off in my car. called the impound lot at 6am. went there at 11am to get my car. i asked for badge # and squad car #, they were being uncooperate (st paul police impound lot). so, it was working perfectly when the cop drove off and when i tried getting out of impound lot it wont even start. wires are good, fuses, gas, oil, injectors, spark plugs..everything is fine. utec plugged in. i had a check engline all the time, but when i try starting the car, CEL wont come on. so i had a tow truck guy came and towed the car somewhere. i told the clerks that my car didnt work and they said it was on a tow bed when it got there but wont let me have any information. i made them sign something saying my car difnt work when im taking the car out. i called stpd and they said it was unlikely for a cop to drive off in my car and they cant do anything about. so tomorrow, i will have a consultation with a lawyer and to see if they can do that. weird thing, when i got pulled over, didnt ask for an insurance or registration, didnt ask who owned the car or nothing.

That's F'd up! :(! I have never heard of cops driving people's vehicles before. If a tow was in the works, they always would call a tow truck. I really don't think they can leave their squad car and drive off in citizen's car. It's called being AWOL.

    Raise hell, man. }:)

if you arent getting a cel i bet your computer somehow isnt hooked up, this happend on my SHO once, when i shredded my belt, the main power wire that connected to the battery for my computer got ripped off from the belt, all it would do was crank and the cel wouldnt come on at all...but who cares, your car ran fine before the cop got in it, i feel a lawsuit coming, you have witnesses!

Since I was there, I believe that there were two cops, so they did not leave there car there...But yeah johny you should realy take this to court, I can be there if u need me.

Also I have watched a doucumentary about this type of thing before, they gaved a person with a sh**y ford no more then $500 and he was able to turn it into a cop car that can fool anyone. The best way u can avoid such, is basically as the cop is trying to pull u over just keep driving slowyely till u get to a major interscation or somthing where there is other people around.

I've dealt with MANY crooked cops, all you can do is sit there and get f^cked. Good luck with the law suit, but even if you found it which cop it was, she wouldn't show up for civil court.

This story is simply amazing. Are you sure there isn't anything being left out?

Did she just leave her squad car sitting there? How is it even close to legal to take your keys and drive off with your car? Shouldn't they flatbed it if they are impounding it? Either you just got royally screwed worse than anyone I've ever heard of, or there is something more to this story.

Ok, just called St. Paul Police Dept., I was on hold for 20 mins because they kept transferring me to deptartments. Got my case number, got Officer name and her office number. I told the guy what had happened and he said, Don't call here, this has nothing to do with the Officer, take it to the City. I said, nicely and calmed, So if the officer drove my car off clearly in front of me and 6 witnessess and it is a new car, I can't speak with her? He yelled at me and said no, take it to the city, the officer has nothing to do with it. Dude, this is **** ****ed up. Is anyone a police officer on here? This is so wrong, he yelled and hung up on me. }:)}:)}:)

    please, get a lawyer.

tey will tell you what to do and what is within your rights. as it stands right now, this is an open and shut case. however, using a lawyer to make the calls, line up all the ducks etc. will make sure that everything is well documented. This officer needs to be removed from the force, this isnt going to be the last time something like this happens unless you step up now.

Most lawyers on something this open and shut will take your case for very little up front since its basically a slam dunk in court. It's obvious that the cop took your car or else there would be a record of the office calling for a tow when thay had you stopped, which of course, they didnt. however they explain what the hell happened after they gave you the ticket and until the time the car showed up in impound, its not going to be a very convincing story.

you are lucky you got your car back! are you sure that they flat bedded it in? becuase if they towed it they could have fried your diffs.

it seems very wierd that the cop drove your car, there might actually be a law or somethign against that. she temporarlily stole your car.

i say prosecute to the full extent of the law (maybe some more after that)

Yes it has logging capability, but you have to have the laptop connected and manually start and stop the logging.

i'm sorry to hear that man. never ever walk away from your car. NEVER! i've had a car towed twice by the police before, and the 2nd time, cop pretty much told me the same thing; i insisted that i would stay out of his way and just watch to make sure the tow truck hooked everything up properly. he didn't make any kind of fuss about it, just looked on. i did end up giving them my keys, which they held unto until the truck came.

the first time, they just shoved the keys in the glove box and drove off... i could've just jumped in and driven off too but i was not gonna get in bigger trouble... sad, huh? stupid reasons why you get your car impounded.

my first reason: driving w/o a license... hehe

2nd reason: previous owner "STOLE" and placed current TABS on my plates... sly focker! if i ever find him... by the way, the guy's name is Charlie Lee... i could descrive him, but that was back in 1999.
