Im sorry lol for sounding rude! But thanks im just stuck in situation where I have no where to go to pull a code and I just realized im missing my gad cap

 

go buy a new one the code will come back untill you do

 

You need to know what the code is?? Advanced Auto Parts will check your code for you for free and even clear it if you want them to.

 

its an evap code he has no gas cap im going to take a stab that the code is PO457

Your CEL will stay on until you get a cap. Period. Other than then maybe getting crap in your tank, its not going to break down.
