Self proclaimed know-it-all n00bs, you own a subaru for much less than a year, you purchase it modded (or stock and start to mod it yourself, not taking anyone with experience's advice) and you pretend to know everything about them. How do I know if I'm a noob to the Subaru community? I would like to think that my ability to swap in a fresh stock replacement motor into my rs would take me out of the noob category, but I'm wondering what you think. I agree that finding false information is very frustrating, but so is finding no information at all. Why don't all you "elders" just help out the noobs. If you see false information then correct it and move on with your life. We were all noobs at one point in our lives, let's not forget that.
I'll be upfront with you. MNSUBARU is not the place you look for experience or knowledge. If you are reasonably trained on the interwebz, a ton of info is at your fingertips. Google searching stuff yields incredible info. NASIOC has so much information that the average person goes on overload. My latest policy is that you have to come here to pick my brain. And bring a six pack. In my year and a half on here, it seems MNSubaru is more for "My car is smoking, why?" or "My car makes this funny noise, what could it be?" type questions. 90% of the time, people just get pointed in the direction of another site like NASIOC, IWSTI, etc, to search. This Site/Club is more of a social group the way it seems to me than a technical discussion forum.
