I just turned on the headlights in my 2004 sti and one of the hid headlights was purple, like Minnesota Vikings purple, the other one was fine though. Do I just need a new bulb?

did you let it warm up for a while? might just need to settle a bit, otherwise it might just be the wrong temp range.

Drove it all the way home from work (10 mins) and it was still purple. I tried turning them on and off a few times and still the same.

Did you get it from DDM tuning? If so they will replace it for free, you just have to pay to ship it to them. Make sure to get a REF# before you send it back to them. If you have some other HIDs you might want to think about swapping over to DDM tuning. They have replaced 2 setups for me (running lows and fogs) and it cost me less than $15.

I assume they're the factory hid's, I've only had the car for a month so I'm not sure.

That's what I figured, I ordered one from my local auto value today. Are they a pain in the ass to change?

Well I changed the bulb and that fixed it, to bad this one doesn't match the other one either haha. It looks yellow and the other one is bluish white. What a pain in the ass

I have hid's in my mustang that I got from ddmtuning so I've been used to them for four years, this is the first car I've owned that had them from the factory though. I just ordered two bulbs from ddm and gonna put them both in and be done with it.
