Is there any shops close by Willmar that will install my HID kit into my GC8? I prefer a close shop with a good reputation but I am willing to drive out to the cities if the shop opens on weekends. Or if someone can do it for me I would do it myself, but I think installing an intake is hard -_-' LMK if any shops out there do HID installation. Also a shop that gives a good deal on installing it...of course I don't want to get ripped off. Thanks in advance. Note * I have an HID kit so I won't be needing one from a shop. -Bryan
Yep, most kits out there are plug and play...seriously, you plug it in, and it works...as simple as plugging a cord into an outlet almost.
the thing is I don' know where to place my ballast and all these cords...-_-' it looks complicated lol.
if you show up at the minnetonka meet im sure I or someone else could show you how to do it in 5 minutes
when you finish can you post up some pics of beam patterns. I have heard he HID kits are blinding to oncoming traffic, compared to hid conversions
search on rs25.com for the guy who did it himself, he is in hugo minnesota, He was doing it for a reasonable fee. Make sure you get some projectors to retro fit in there
Well On RS25 a vendor (supermoose) is selling HID KITs with the GLARE SHIELD. He also has it on his ride with his OEM headlights w/o projectors. He says his HID's DOES NOT blind the other side of the road. I will post asap once I get it on not gonna be until a week or two though...Not used to the cold...so it makes me work slow....plus I have almost no skills in car hookups -_-' but like poeple stated upbove. If it's that easy then I will do it once I get the KIT.
By glare shield I take it you mean a cut-off of some type. I've personally yet to see an aftermarket non projector based solution (for any vehicle) that didn't toss a huge beam that would blind others. Kudos to him if he's figured that out though.
post a pics from the ballast and wires i might help you out....i done mine diy HID kit on my wrx headlamp conversion....if you know a lot about wires, this should be a piece of cake yO
So I looked at the thread... definitely no cut-off there. You'll be blinding people for sure. His pic The way a cut-off should look (05 R6 HID conversion):
Yeah..I asked him to get some more pix that I requested and better quality photo's. I haven't bought it yet though because he only answers my questions half way. I am considering to purchase it though. I want to get a retrofitted headlamp but it is costing me too much $$ and I think with the money it can be spent more wisely. We will see tonight because moose said he will post some pix of what I requested.
