high rpm Q's

    Q's-when doing steady 70mph on 5th gear and barely gasing it, I constantly stay at 3k rpm. Is this normal for u guys? my v8 turck at the same concept holds at

    My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
    RPMs are a direct correlation with gear ratios. Different engines have different gear ratios to compensate for/accentuate the engines powerband. WRX engines would have a hard time in steady state cruising at the same RPM levels you see in something with a larger displacement as they'd be out of the powerband, whereas something like a V6 or V8 has enough lower end power to be able to run the needed gear ratios to lower RPM's at speed.

    guess i never pay attention to it before, i thought it was just my perrin crank pulley

    Nope. Crank pulley has nothing to do with engine/transmission RPM's.

    Yes, it's normal for 5 speed to be at 3k at 70mph, 60 is 2.5

    Tire size may change it a bit
