I was out today leaving for an appointment coming out of downtown on I94 when I noticed a State Highway Patrolman pulling over a speeding car. Not even 1/2 mile down the highway was another one pulled over on the right giving some other unsuspecting motorist a ticket. Well, to make a long story short on my trip out to Maple Grove I saw no less than 4 of them pulling over motorist. On the way back I saw 3 more.

So ~ be careful out there. Not a good day to test the throttle :ugh:

I have also noticed that the police have really been out in force lately. Even got pulled over at 2 a.m. rushing to the hospital because I had appendicitis.

They were all over the place on that north-south strip of 94 all last year, it was actually kind of weird that it had gotten so quite there this summer.

every day on hwy 100 from downtown to 42nd street I have seen 2 chargers on each side of the road pulling people over. Today one of them was hidden pretty well in an on ramp.

I am not speeding at all anymore but thought people should keep an eye out

its a feasible idea, but there really arent enough really big "speed stings". Maybe a couple a year that are big enough to take notice.

For instance, every once in awhile there will be one on 394 that lasts 3 or 4 hours and has 5-6 squads involved, but it might happen twice a year.

Also, by the time most guys get back to computers to post the traps are kind of old news by then. The police dont stay in the same location for long before moving on. Its kind of pointless for them to set up on one road and cause gawkers to slow traffic down for miles.

The state troopers like to sit on the side of 494/694 by FleetFarm and do radar. The other place on 494 that they like to do radar is right befor the Lake overpass

There's exceptions to this for sure. 494 west and 100-169 I see them sitting on the side of the road 2-3 days per week. they have one to tag and one car to ticket.

yeah. I just dont like the idea of interfering with cops doing their job.

I guess by telling people there is a trap it helps the cops do their job though. Since the people from the club that would be speeding by not knowign exactly where the cop is. they'll slow down for a larger portion of the road than they would anyways.

+1 for 35w just north of 36 all the way to 694. I drive home from school at noon and see between 2-4 cops in there pulling people over. I keep it at 60 the whole way until i'm north of694, then kick it down.
