Ok so i was sanding down the rust on my fenders and now on the right side there is a huge hole because the rust was worse then I originally thought. Now I have bondo but what should I use to fill the empty space behind the hole. Also when I look at it I don't feel that I will be able to get all the rust out, so I was wondering what my options are besides bondo (ie. getting a shop to cut and weld a new piece of metal in, just deal with or ?)?

    Also I drive a 96 brighton coupe.

indeed you'll need to cut and weld, otherwise you'll be doing this again later.

You could glass it, but you need all of the rust gone.

    Get new non-rusted fenders.

If they're front fenders, go up to Certifit and get new ones.

If it's the rear quarters, cut and weld.

Can't agree more with the previous posters, if you don't get it all it will be right back.

Yes sorry it is my rear quarters. Also I am awful at both cutting and welding anyone here who isn't awful? Any shops that would do this?

I have done it with another vehicle a long time ago.. never knew how to weld and used an arc.. is was horrible... ha ha

but I hope to get more into this stuff..

its not as hard as it seems if you take your time...

If my shop/house was built I would be happy to open it up and help out, but right now I dont have the room or tools on hand...
