Decided to swing and see what the fuss was all about. Turns out people must like crappy parking and low meat rations. Saw another Scooby in the lot - silver WRX sedan with modz. Did not see owner. Curious as to why one McMexico's food would be that much weaker in its sauce than another.

    GRADE: FAIL-

It's all good. I love me some chicken soft tacos. I was envisioning heaping piles of charred pollo flesh but came away nonplussed.

    Yes.

The one on Washington Ave just east of the U of Mn makes fantastically huge burritos, too.

The GV Chipotle is the worst ones in the city. Consitantly the skimpiest on everything, a generally ****ish staff, and not a great seating area.
The best, IMHO is the Ford parkway Chipotle in St paul. The 7 corners chipotle's good too.
Note however, that chipotle's are always nicer to "regulars."
If you go enough and you tip, they'll give you bigger portions of everything.
Except Golden valley. I actually refuse to go to that one.

But I would note there is nothing than sitting outside at the lake a calhoun one on a nice summer day. Everything is right about that. It also has a huge parking lot and you can park in the back and avoid door dings.

If i want real mexican food I'll get some al pastor down on Lake Street
If I want a giant Chipotle Burrito, I got to Chipotle.
Chipotle is not mexican food, its just awesome food.

Have you been to the "Loco?" I specifically didn't say Mexican food, I said burrito. Try it, and your mouth will thank you while it enjoys a burrito that actually tastes like something other then white rice and lettuce.

I think i'm one of the few people (on this site anyway) that isn't too terribly impressed with Chipotle. I like it fine, its just ... I don't understand the fascination. It's a goddamned burrito. Maybe it's because i don't eat burritos? Who knows .. but you guys are totally beyond obsessed.

I used to love Chipotle, for a few months, but then they must have changed their sauce, cuz that new sauce is not leet sauce, it is infact stomach-upset sauce.

P.S. Anyone venture down to Shakopee? if so GO to TACO LOCO NOW, they have some of the best mom-n-pop real Mexican food stuffs. It is located right off 101, and take a right on 69(not left towards Super America), in a former Dairy Queen building. They are out of Illinois. And if you like a sit-down restraunt, go to Pablos in Shakopee, that place is family owned/operated, been going there with my own family for numerous years.
