looking great man! You insulating those hot water pipes? Are the PVC ones the returns? Im not too familiar with those systems.
The Pvc pipes are the intake and exhaust for the forced air furnace. I am removing the boiler as soon as I am done with the gas lines.
There is a guy on the Garage forum that did that. He has his whole office under his garage. Then a tunnel that goes to the house. I will be fine. The basement on that side has a walk out so that will be good.
I dont know much about remodeling, but if any of you guys need help let me know as I am a good gopher and would love to learn how to do more around the house for when we get one.
In the process, slowly but surely. Tangledupinblu has been over a couple times to help out with the framing process. I have some soffets to frame up still, but the walls are basically how I want them. I have electrical to do still, but that shouldn't take too long since the drops were already there. In reference to my response to IrocZ, the electrical and entertainment are the holdup, soon though. This could come in handy. I need my plumbing buddy to come by and put the toilet and sink stuff in place first. But I definately plan on tiling the bathroom floor and baseboard areas down there. You can show me the ropes with that, and I'll apply what I've learned to the other bathrooms and kitchen area later when I get the carpets replaced.
I'll post a thread in the events section when we drywall the basement, but you are welcome to stop by and see the framing as it is to get an idea of how it works, I can talk you through alot of it. Plus, I have an airpowered framing nail gun you can use when we're done here
thanks. maybe I will come by this week to get out of the house some since I am on a 2 week vacation now. week 1: cant lift cuz of my appendix being taken out week 2: we leave the 28th for mexico for a week.
Bill I am new to having a home and repairing it. But its kind of a fun learning experience. I converted my house from boiler heat to forced air. That was a whole lot of learning and research I had to do. The rest of the stuff I am just winging it.
well, once I recover and get back from mexico I will come help ya wing it on your house so I know what i am doing on mine
I think that all of the NOS (from either the Camaro or the WRX) you have been huffing has gone to your head. You have your pics all mixed up. I think it's obvious that your intention was to ADD more 1970s wood panelling to your house, mulletboy.
If you take 30 from Mayer to New Germany I am the second left you can take. Right across from the old private school.
Oh Ok I know right where your at. Good When you move in let me know. I have a few friends out here but no one on here from the cities ever wants to come "Way out here" or they cry "its to far" itll be good knowing somone else out this way. Let me know if you ever need help working on the house, Im pretty good at that kinda stuff, Framing, Sheetrocking, and Running Electric. We should hang out sometime. Give me a call next time your out this way. Dave 612-940-1424
