Alright i dont know if you guys have heard of this forum, iwsti.com, but i see people who are claming that they are putting out the mid 350's whp and about the same torque, on the stock VF39. how does this work. Are these guys full of it or is this legit. some of them are running EWG setups and stand alones but that still seems like alot more power than they should be getting? maybe not, just curious
I'm pretty sure it is on Danapacks Dyno, unless it is on Race gas and Meth injection on DD or Mustang...but I doubt it
thats what most of them are running them on. dynapacks. but they clame to be running 93 octane and no alky/meth. You guys can take a look for yourself. its in the engine power/performance section of the forum and its a sticky on the top that says dyno database or somthn like that
who cares what the number is. I would take on any of those 350 whp sti's that are run on a dynapack. If you really want to compare hp numbers, you need to go to the track and see wht you run for time and trap speeds. You can't compare numbers on a dyno. Russ
haha alright, it just seemed kinda fishy but if it comes down to the dyno, then that makes much more sense
my e-p3nis.... bikerboy beat me too it... was coming back to delete pic.... oh well... I knew that pic went over the line... just couldnt remember where I posted it and was doing a search... ha h a
No, you need to post a pic from the last dyno day where somebody posted their *corrected* hp and tq curves. A black marker can do wonders!
It helps to be familiar with the relative ranges represented by various dynos. Seems like to me it usually goes Dyno Dynamics < Mustang < Dynapack < Dynojet here's an interesting post from a recent proven power braggin thread on nasioc: That's a lot of HP picked up by driving to another dyno. The only thing a dyno is good for is measuring relative changes and tuning a car.
The 07 STi's are putting that down easy on Mustangs. Whatever they did (heads, gearing, bigger IWG) it sure as hell helped. They may not have the VF39 but it's basically the same turbo sans larger WG.
