damn laptop crashed alst night 6mths old.... i use it for Youth, business and personal... closed it down, and today it wouldnt start.. well it would but windows wouldnt work.. it half did but only 12 of like 40 processes showed and the hard drive owuldnt show... aaaargh... now I got to restore it and start form scratch... all my friggin programs and crap... have to find the passwords etc... 1lmost 1am and still going... go tto work.... I hate this crap
Hey Can you pull the drive and run it as a spare on a USB adapter so you can atleast get your data off it?
i feel your pain on that one.... our whole class had to buy the gateway tablet pc's and i think 17 out of the 19 of us have new parts or computers because these things suck so bad grrrr
So, are you getting into windows? I assume so if you can see 12 processes running. It seems weird the HDD wouldn't show if its booting windows?? I'm assuming you only have 1 HDD and 1 partition. I would check the HDD for errors, if you can... Go to My Computer> Right click Cif it shows up)> Properties> Tools > Error checking, click *check now* Kind of hard to say what could have caused it or how to help fix without more details.
ha ha except it crashed within 5 hours... so it aint much better, I restored it... lost a few programs... funny thing is I could get into windows, 12 processes out of 50 odd, but nothing other then the background pic would come up... wouldnt find c: drive..... anyways.. I am on it now.. have been all day....
I got a pm about this thing and wondered whom I asked for help... ha ha wow who dug this up.. have been away for 2 days..
