well as it says i hate them. they have been working on this house for over 3 years, and have been busted 3 times for no permit. now thanks to them my car is messed up. its sad cause there is no company to go after since its just family doing the work, so im going after them if they are ever here. so it looks like i need a new fender and headlight since its got a nice crack in it now.

Neighbours can be real idiots sometimes. Mine backed into my new car less than 1hr after I picked it up from the port. I feel your pain, and I hope you get the car fixed up good as new.

Make sure you get them busted for having no permit, again.

I'd take that old window and throw it right through the brand new front window.

What is going after them again going to accomplish? If they have been "busted many times for working with no permit" it's quite obvious they don't care.

That would be funny, especially if they won't pay you back (in a timely manner ;) )

Getting them "in trouble" isn't going to get you anywhere. If you want to get your money and give them the agony of legal business, I suggest you contact your insurance company. Either your car insurance or your home-owner's insurance. Not sure which one this sill fall under, but I'm sure they'd be willing to tell you. Your insurance will pay out for the damages, and then they will likely sue the offending home owner for the damages. That's how it worked for my car when that drunk guy fell on it and wrecked the paint. They simply paid out the damages to me so I could get them fixed, then they went after the guy that fell on it and got their money from him.

You mean your insurance didn't pick up the tab already? I know mine would have issued me a check on the spot, then went after the other guy if need be. Since i think this would fall under "act of god" or thats what my insurance guy called it.

Suing the homeowner isn't going to get you far in my opinion, since IF they show up to court, and you win the judge will just issue a judgement against them. I had/have one against a guy for something and he pays me a whopping $1-2 dollars a month...

I would expect your auto policy comprehensive coverage to pay for your loss and then your insurer would try to recover their loss from your neighbor's home owner's policy (aka subrogation). That is if the jackholes even have insurance.

I would also encourage them to do their own furnace repair...carbon monoxide FTW.

$500 is a quick and easy small claims case, cheap to file

It'd be worth fixing my own car to go over and smash something of there's, mostly because i can fix my own car, but they probably couldn't fix whatever it was I chose to break.

I'm going to agree with the throwing the window through the window.

Or a Molotov. Those are good at solving problems like this.

Ok it is time for me to pull out the Nazi mod-stick.

Stop suggesting illegal and/or violent means to solve a problem. This is getting to be a little out of hand, with this thread and the one about dealing with the cat. Take off the ITG hat and approach these types of situations logically, please.

    To the OP:

I am very sorry this happened to you, we all are. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with your ****ty neighbors.
